decree amending\nseveral provisions of the Federal Economic\nCompetition Law (the \u201cFECL\u201d) was\npublished in the Official Gazette of the\nFederation the main modification being the\ndisappearance of the Federal Economic\nCompetition Commission (\u201cCOFECE\u201d) as a\nconstitutionally autonomous body and the\ncreation of the National Antitrust\nCommission (\u201cNAC\u201d) as a decentralized\npublic agency of the Federal Public\nAdministration under the Ministry of\nEconomy (the \u201cAmendment\u201d).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b42a999 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b42a999\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In this sense, the note presents bullets\nsummarizing the relevant aspects of the\nAmendment considering that the NAC (i)\nassumes all the tasks and resources\n(including digital platforms) of COFECE and\nthe Federal Institute of\nTelecommunications in antitrust matters\nand (ii) will take over the direction of\nantitrust policy in Mexico as soon as all the\nmembers of the NAC\u2019s board have been\nratified.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7686d29 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7686d29\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>It is important to clarify that (i) the impact\nof the Amendment on the Mexican Real\nEstate Market was significantly mitigated\nby the elimination of the previously\nproposed pre-merger filing obligation\nregarding the execution of any joint\nventure, regardless if the notification\nthresholds were; and (ii) the Amendment\ndoes not imply a breach of the provisions\nof the United States-Mexico-Canada\nAgreement
